Challenge
Uncertain Parenting Arrangement
A parent in Kuala Lumpur had been living apart from their children for three months following a separation, with no formal arrangement in place. Communication with the former spouse had become tense and inconsistent.
Approach
We began with a consultation to understand both the legal options and the personal priorities. After two sessions, the client chose to pursue a written parenting agreement outside of court, with both parties agreeing to its terms through facilitated communication.
Outcome
A documented parenting plan was agreed upon within six weeks. Regular time with both parents was established and has been maintained since. The client described the process as more manageable than expected.

Challenge
Lapsed Nafkah Payments
A divorced spouse had received no nafkah for four months, despite an existing verbal agreement. The matter was eligible for Syariah Court intervention but the client was unfamiliar with the process.
Approach
We reviewed the existing agreement, identified the appropriate filing path, prepared the documentation, and accompanied the client through the Syariah Court process. We also managed communications with the other party's representative.
Outcome
A court order for maintenance was obtained. Arrears were addressed and a structured ongoing payment arrangement formalised. The client noted that having someone familiar with the Syariah process made the experience much less intimidating.

Challenge

A household facing separation had three connected issues — the formal dissolution of the marriage, custody of two school-age children, and a maintenance arrangement — all requiring attention at the same time.
Approach
Using our Whole-Family Engagement, we built a single case plan covering all three matters. Documentation was consolidated, timelines coordinated, and the family was kept informed at each stage without needing to manage separate relationships with different advisors.
Outcome
All three matters were resolved within four months. The family described the process as structured and considerably less chaotic than they had feared. A workable, documented arrangement is now in place for all parties.
